Dossier Photo Album

In this space, you can find of the pages that went into the photoalbum for my dossier (they'll all take you to a larger image if you click on them). The dossier is the package of documents that goes to China carrying my life's history and request that the People's Republic of China allow me to adopt one of their wards. :-) The CCAA would like to see photos of you in your life. My understanding is that some set of these are scanned into the CCAA computers and used in the actual matching, in addition to being used to review your application. My agency asked for 9-12 photos that will give the CCAA a sese of me and my lifestyle. It should include 2 passport photos of me (those are going separately), the outside of my home, my neighborhood and town, family gatherings, and vacations -- I tried to hit all the topics.

It was important to me to include as many of the people that are important in my life and will be important in my daughter's life, and that is where the map concept came into play.

The Director of the China program at my agency commented that my photoalbum was impressive. Upon telling this tale to my friend Steven he commented, I think you are going to provide them with the most impressive package they have had in quite some time. :-) (I haven't quite decided if this is a compliment yet :-)).

Many, many, many thanks to my friend and co-worker, Cindy Xu, who graciously helped me with the translations -- that's her handwriting you see in the captions. :-)
